During eight months 2006, Ust-Ilim Timber Complex belonging to Ilim Pulp cooked 416.3 thousand tons of market pulp (1%% less than during the same period a year ago). Total pulping output decreased 1.9% to 449.1 thousand tons.

Russia: Segezha Mill increases production
During the first eight months 2006, Segezha Pulp and Paper Mill (Russian Karelia) increased pulping output by 6% to 200 thousand tons compared with the same period a year ago, www.lesprom.ru informs. The mill manufactured 147.4 thousand tons of paper (+0.6%), 40.8 thousand tons of board (+28.9%), 248 thousand paper sacks (+8.2%).

North-West Timber Company is through with the biggest investment project in the history of the pulp and paper industry of Russia, the company's press-service informs. PM#9 was officially launched at a new paper factory of Neman Pulp and Paper Mill.
