Russia: Kotlass Mill announces production increase

During the first half-year 2005 Kotlass Pulp and Paper Mill belonging to the largest Russian timber corporation Ilim Pulp churned out 451.4 thousand tons of market products, which constituted a slight upturn of 4.3% (18.6 thousand tons) compared with the same period a year ago.

Since January the mill manufactured 127.4 thousand tons of paper (2.4 thousand tons less versus 2004 as the mill has switched to lighter paper).

Cardboard output increased 9.8 thousand tons (+6.8%) to 153.2 thousand tons. Pulping output totaled 498.2 thousand tons (+3.9% or 18.9 thousand tons).
