Russia: Anglo American is interested in timber mill

During his visit to South African Republic on July 15, Jury Trutnev, Minister of Natural Resources of Russia, had a meeting with the management of Anglo American, www.bumprom.ru informs referring to the press-service of the Ministry. The company expressed interest in constructing a timber mill in Syktyvkar, Komi Republic. For now Anglo American is worried about the lack of transport infrastructure limiting the access to forest funds. According to Jury Trutnev, the conditions for potential investors in Russian timber industry will be highly favorable. Mondi Global (Anglo American Holding) already possesses Mondi Business Paper Syktyvkar.
