During ten months 2005, Ust-Ilim Timber Complex belonging to Ilim Pulp cooked 530.9 thousand tons of market pulp (6.1% or 30.5 thousand tons more than during the same period a year ago). Total pulping output increased 5.3% to 575.4 thousand tons. According to Alexandr Razmakhnin, first acting director of Ust-Ilim, the enterprise continues to install new equipment as the first stage of modernization is under way.
Bratsk Pulp and Cardboard Mill churned out 580 thousand tons of products during January–October, which constituted a slight upturn of 0.7% or 3.9 thousand tons compared with 2004. The mill manufactured 398.8 thousand tons of market pulp (-0.4%), 180.3 thousand tons of containerboard (+2.4%). Pulping output grew 0.3% or 1.8 thousand tons up to 623.9 thousand tons.
