In January–March Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill sold products for RUR 2560.5 million (app. $85 million), which constituted an upturn of 7.5% compared with the same period a year ago.
Net profit comprised RUR 247.5 million or +27.8% versus Q1 2005 (app. $8.25 million), EBIT grew 28.7% up to RUR 460.9 million (app. $15 million), EBITDA increased 25.5% to RUR 560.4 million (app. $18.5 million).
Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill (launched in August, 1940) is one of the leaders of Russian pulp and paper industry. With its annual sales volume of about $350 million the mill exports its products to 43 countries (33% of net sales).
Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill churns out 13.9% of pulping in the industry, 9.4% of market pulp, 22.5% of containerboard, 8% of corrugated products, 4.2% of paper (excl. newspaper), 34.6% of copybooks.
