Ilim Pulp reported its results for the first four months 2006.
The enterprises belonging to Ilim Pulp churned out 840.6 thousand tons of products, a decrease of 11.7 thousand tons or 1.4% compared with the same period a year ago. The total output constituted 475.1 thousand tons of market pulp (-5.2%), 251.9 thousand tons of cardboard (+3.8%), 97.5 thousand tons of paper (+7.8%). Pulping output decreased 2.4% to 806.5 thousand tons due to the realization of investment project aimed at increasing efficiency.
Ilim Pulp continues to cut down supplies of raw materials from its own timber companies in order to optimize production. During the four months 2006, its subsidiaries supplied 12.3% less wood for pulp mills (1.85 million m3).
