Pulp Mill Holding, holding the main stake in Russia’s Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill, is facing corruption problems.
Heinz Zinner declared the fact during the session of joint Russian-Austrian committee of economic partnership and development on May 16. Zinner mentioned numerous “ordered” inspections and audits initiated by interpellations of Russian Duma’s deputies, including Valentin Bobyrev, the former vice-president of Bazovy Element. One more example is a criminal case concerning the privatization of Arkhangelsk Mill in 1994, resulting in the attachment of 20% stake belonging to Pulp Mill Holding, founded only in 2001.
The Austrian firm has already sent a memorandum to the Federal Ministry of Austria for industry and labor. The official delegation of Austria is raising the question at the summit “Russia – European Union” in Sochi.
