Ilim Pulp celebrated its 10th anniversary at the pulp and paper market of China in Peking on May, 19.
Ten years ago Bratsk Timber Complex signed first contracts for 50 thousand tons of pulp and paper products. By 2005, the figure increased to 906 thousand tons. Ilim Pulp underlines the effectiveness of regional sales net, which is considered unique for the country.
Ilim Pulp is ready for a huge investment program aimed at boosting the capacity of its Siberian enterprises, exporting their products to China. Total investment volume by 2011 is planned to exceed $750 million.
Ilim Pulp ships to China bleached softwood kraft pulp, bleached hardwood kraft pulp, unbleached softwood pulp and kraft liner. Beginning from 2003 the company regularly exports viscose pulp, since 2004 sells lignosulphonates to the Chinese industry.
