Industrial production index of Russia in January–June increased 4.4% compared with the same period a year ago, www.lesprom.ru informs with reference to Rosstat. In June the index grew 2.9% versus June 2005.
The country published 22.6% more magazines (1.8 billion issues) and 10.5% more books and booklets (6.2 billion issues), churned out 2.3% more paper (2 million tons), 9.9% more board (1.7 million tons),
The total output of market pulp decreased 3.2% to 1.2 million tons, printing of newspapers reduced 6.9% to 8.2 billion issues.
