The Russian market of board develops rapidly and is going to stabilize only in 4-5 years, www.bumprom.ru says. According to the Federal Service of State Statistics of Russian Federation, the country churned out 4.5% more board in 2005 compared with the year ago (3 million tons). The booming sectors are containerboard and fluting (5.7%). The largest board producers of Russia are Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill (20% of the market), Kotlass Pulp and Paper Mill (12%), St. Petersburg Cardboard and Printing Factory (10%), Bratsk Pulp and Board Mill (10.5%), Mondi Business Paper Syktyvkar (8.5%). Wood pulp remains the main raw material, though the usage of waste paper and board rises gradually.
