Ilim Pulp reported its results for the first nine months 2006, www.bumprom.ru informs. The enterprises belonging to Ilim Pulp churned out 1.9 million tons of products, which constituted an upturn of 2.6% compared with the same period a year ago.
The output of market pulp increased 0.7% to 1.1 million tons. The total output constituted 557.3 thousand tons of cardboard (+5.5%), 203.1 thousand tons of paper (+6.7%). Pulping output grew 2% to 1.8 million tons.
Ilim Pulp continues to cut down supplies of raw materials from its own timber companies in order to optimize production. During the nine months 2006, its subsidiaries supplied 10.9% less wood for pulp mills.
