On October 19, in Peking Russian Petrazavodskmash received an award for the best economic project with China in 2006 during the days of North-Western Federal District of Russia in China, the company's press-service informs.
The enterprise initiated the construction of a 200 thousand t/yr greenfield mill in Chita region with state-of-the-art equipment and technologies attracting investments from China.
A visit of the company's managers to Peking resulted in signing an agreement between Petrazavodskmash and the building owner from China (with five pulp mills). The two sides agreed on cooperation terms and concepts of the future mill.
Beginning from 1992, Petrazavodskmash constructed two pulp mills and upgraded two papermaking machines in China.
