Russia: New pulp line in Svetogorsk

By the middle of 2007, Svetogorsk Pulp and Paper Mill (Leningrad region, belongs to International Paper) plans to start up a new 200 000 tons/yr chemical-thermomechanical pulp line for paper and board production, www.Lesprom.ru informs with reference to Svetogorsk general director Sergey Pondar. According to Sergey Pondar, after launching the new $150 million line Svetogorsk Mill will boost wood processing from 1.4 million m3 to 2.1 million m3 with the consequent increase of production output.
