During 11 months 2006, Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill increased pulping output 1.8%. Arkhangelsk Mill cooked 211.4 thousand tons of market pulp, which constituted a slight upturn of 1.6% compared the same period a year ago, the mill’s press-service informs. The enterprise churned out 440.2 thousand tons of board (+1.6%), 119.6 million sq.m of containerboard packaging (+0.9%), 309.6 million of 12-paged copybooks (+5.6%).
Pulping output for November comprised 70.6 thousand tons, which is 3.4% more compared with the same period a year ago. The mill manufactured 19.7 thousand tons of market pulp (+3.8%), 6.9 thousand tons of paper (+0.7%), 40.1 thousand tons of board (+3.5%), 11.6 million sq.m of containerboard packaging (+0.8%).
Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill is one of the largest mills of Europe, a leading manufacturer of containerboard and the second largest producer of market pulp in Russia. Net sales for 2006 totaled more than $348 million. The mill exports its products to 43 countries. The major shareholder is Pulp Mill Holding (Austria) with more than 65% of shares. 33.6% belong to Bazel structures.
