The press service of Ilim Pulp reported the results for the first ten months 2006. The enterprises belonging to Ilim Pulp churned out 3.4% more products compared with the same period a year ago.
The output of market pulp increased 1.3% to 1.23 million tons. The total output constituted 622.3 thousand tons of cardboard (+6.8%), 243.3 thousand tons of paper (+6.3%). Pulping grew 2.7% to 2.62 million tons.
Ilim Pulp continues to cut down supplies of raw materials from its own timber companies in order to optimize production. During the ten months 2006, its subsidiaries supplied 8.9% less wood for its pulp mills.
Founded in 1992, Ilim Pulp Enterprise is among ten leading companies of the world pulp market. It manufactures 60% of market pulp and 50% of boxboard produced in Russia.
