Papyrus to start this month

Trial runs are foreseen for the end of this month on a new 80 ton/day Recard tissue machine at Papyrus Tissue in Greece. It will make all grades of tissue in the grammage range of 13-35 g/m2 at reeler. Raw material will be 100% virgin pulp processed in two 50 ton/day stock preparation lines, one each for long and short fibres. Fan pump and pressure screen are rated at 60,000 litres/min. The machine is a Crescent Former with maximum working speed of 1400 m/min and with trim at reeler of 2750 mm. Creping range is 5-30%.
