Syktyvkar Tissue Group (STG) has recently ordered a new tissue slitter rewinder, type T-Wind H, from Toscotec, the Italian company reported on 22 October.
Based in the Republic of Komi, STG is one of the newest realities in the panorama of tissue production in Russia. It currently owns a tissue machine (PM1) and three converting lines and in 2006 ordered a new 90-ton/day tissue machine due to come on stream in early 2008.
As part of the actual expansion program, STG ordered a complete tissue slitter rewinder, equipped with three unwind stands, calender unit, a slitting station with 12 groups, hydraulic rewinder and stretch wrapping system. Toscotec will supply the equipment within the end of 2007 and the rewinder is scheduled to start up at the beginning of February 2008.
“This is a very exciting moment for our company” says Karen Samvelyan, general director of STG “as we are approaching the completion of an expansion program started two years ago and now, with the supply of this slitter rewinder we will be able to supply a wider range of high quality products to our customers.”
