The mill churned out 16.6 thousand tons of market pulp (+0.5%), 4.9 thousand tons of paper (+2.9), 41.2 thousand tons of containerboard (+1.3%), 12 million sq.m. of corrugated products (+3.9%), 720 thousand sq.m. of fiberboard (0.0%), 16.8 million of 12-page copybooks (+0.9%). End October, GOTEK Group launched the first converting line for corrugated containers production with full-color flexo printing in Novomoskovsk (Tula region). Total investment costs are estimated at Euro 40 million, 7 million already invested. Construction began December 2004. Trial runs of Midline-924 converting line (France), Signod packaging line (Germany), and Presona waste paper baling press (Sweden) took place beginning October 2005. Ukraine: Development strategy for Osnova Concern Ukraine: Development strategy for Osnova Concern
Osnova Concern accomplished a plan of strategic development for the next 3 year. According to it, Izmail Pulp and Cardboard Mill will boost its production capacities and launch new product grades. Next year it is to increase the output up to 56 million sq.m. of corrugated products, by 2008 up to 70 million sq.m. By now, operational speed of cardboard machine at Izmail Mill grew to 250 m/min, which is two times more than its rated capacity. The planned modernization will increase the speed up to 300 m/min.
