Russia: St. Petersburg factory reports results
St. Petersburg Cardboard and Printing Factory belonging to Ilim Pulp timber corporation produced 133.1 thousand tons of cardboard during the seven months 2005, which constituted a slight upturn of 1.3% compared with the same period a year ago.

During the first seven months, Ukrainian factories churned out 228.5 thousand rolls of toilet paper, which constituted a slight upturn of 4.6% compared with the same period a year ago.

Russia: New mill in Tumen region
A new $890 million pulp and cardboard mill will be constructed in Tumen region of Russia, www.unipack.ru informs. The projected capacity is 250 thousand tons of pulp and 150 thousand tons of chemical thermomechanical wood pulp for further producing 350 thousand tons of coated and uncoated board.

Russia: Enterprises of Ilim Pulp boost production
During the first seven months 2005, Ust-Ilim Timber Complex belonging to Ilim Pulp cooked 369.3 thousand tons of market pulp (7.1% or 24.1 thousand tons more than during the same period a year ago), including 331.7 thousand tons of bleached softwood pulp (9.3% or 53.7 thousand tons more versus 2004). Total pulping output increased 6.6% to 395.4 thousand tons. In July, the mill cooked 56.2 thousand tons of market pulp (+15% or 7.3 thousand tons) including 51.5 thousand tons of bleached softwood pulp (16.1% or 7.1 thousand tons more versus 2004). The pulping output totaled 61.1 thousand tons (+14.7% or 7.8 thousand tons).

Ukraine: Pulp and paper industry reports results
During the first seven months, Ukrainian pulp and paper enterprises produced 93.5 thousand tons of paper (+7.6% compared with the same period a year ago) and 320.1 thousand tons of board (+8.9%). The total output of cardboard shipping containers increased 19.5% to 208 million sq.m.

Russia: Mondi Business Paper ahead of plan
In July Mondi Business Paper Syktyvkar manufactured 67.4 thousand tons of paper and cardboard products (2% more than planned), the company’s press-service informs. The mill cooked 48.8 thousand tons of pulp.

Ukraine: Dnepropetrovsk Mill reports results
During the first seven months, Dnepropetrovsk Paper Mill churned out 16.8 thousand tons of paper and board, which constituted an upturn of 28% compared with the same period a year ago.

Russia: Enterprises of Ilim Pulp increase production
During the first half 2005 Bratsk Pulp and Cardboard Mill, belonging to Ilim Pulp, churned out 361.9 thousand tons of products, which constituted a slight upturn of 1.8% or 6.3 thousand tons compared with 2004. The mill manufactured 246.6 thousand tons of market pulp (+0.5%), 115.28 thousand tons of containerboard (+4.8%). Pulping output grew 1.5% or 5.7 thousand tons up to 392.2 thousand tons including 109.3 thousand tons of bleached softwood pulp (+2.3% or 2.5 thousand tons).
