Russia: Neman Mill launched new paper grade
Experts of North-West Timber Company developed a new packaging paper UniPerga for food containing fat and water, the company’s press-service informs. The paper is produced at Neman Pulp and Paper Mill.
UniPerga is ecological, 100% biodegradable cellulose material for butter, minced meat, cheese, confectionery, fish, etc.

Russia: Kotlass Mill announces production increase
During the first half-year 2005 Kotlass Pulp and Paper Mill belonging to the largest Russian timber corporation Ilim Pulp churned out 451.4 thousand tons of market products, which constituted a slight upturn of 4.3% (18.6 thousand tons) compared with the same period a year ago.

Ukraine: Pulp and paper industry increases output
During the first six months 2005, Ukrainian enterprises of pulp and paper industry manufactured 78,8 thousand tons of paper and 271,2 thousand tons of board, which constituted an upturn of 8.4% compared with the first half-year 2004. The mills manufactured 228.6 million sq.m. of shipping containers (+16.3%).

During the six months 2005, the enterprises belonging to Osnova Concern churned out 17.4 thousand tons of newspaper, 64.6 thousand tons of containerboard, 57.8 thousand tons of fluting, 6.8 thousand tons of boxboard.
