According to the Federal Service of State Statistics of Russian Federation, the country churned out 4.5% more board in 2005 compared with the year ago (3 million tons). Russia: Volga Mill satisfied with results
Net profit of Volga Pulp and Paper Mill for the first six months boosted 43.4% up to RUR 720 million (app. $24 million) versus the same period 2005, www.lesprom.ru informs. The mill's representatives name modernization and efficiency growth the main components of the results. Profit before taxes increased 40.8% and constituted RUR 901 million (app. $30 million). Production costs were up 9.1%.
